Beloved former Hill master and hockey coach Don Lea passes away

We are sad to report that Don Lea, former Hill master (1958 to 1971) and hockey and lacrosse coach, passed away on February 26, 2008. Coach Lea served as assistant coach to Ned Hall and as head coach of the hockey team from 1969 to 1971.

The memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 8, 2008 at St. John’s Chapel, Groton School, 282 Farmers Row, Groton, Massachusetts at 4:00 p.m. with a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, the Lawrence Library, 15 Main Street, Pepperell, MA 01463, or VNACare Hospice, 120 Thomas Street, Worcester, MA 01608.
